Collections/Accounts Receivable Specialist

Babcox Media Inc. The Collections/Accounts Receivable Specialist position is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the company. This position obtains revenue by verifying and completing accounts receivable transactions as well as for overseeing the credit and collection activities of our company; placing problem accounts with collection agencies and recording bad debts by book. This is a full-time non-exempt position.

Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing statements; identifying delinquent account and insufficient payments;
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customer of insufficient payments;
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends;
  • Maintains account ledgers by posting account transactions;
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, payment or adjustments;
  • Administers all collections according to policy and collaborates with billing on delinquent accounts;
  • Manages all outstanding balances for client payments and reconciles all invoices for account receivables;
  • Maintains a record to past payments and collections accounts; monitors all receivables and posts amounts to customer account;
  • Processes credit card payments and Pay Pal account; reconciles monthly credit card fees;
  • Ensures the credit collection reports and agency watch lists are undated each month;
  • Monitor and ensure regular follow up on all repayment agreements;
  • Notifies management as needed of any collection’s issues;

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred;
  • Two to three years of previous credit and collections work experience preferred;
  • Experience and knowledge with legal compliance regarding accounting and collection processes;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook;
  • Billing experience preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must possess proven data entry skills;
  • Must possess general accounting and math skills;
  • Possess a high level of work ethic and integrity;

Video Production Director

The Video Publisher Director is responsible for managing the pipeline of video production requests, content creation and working with stakeholders from video project conception through completion.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Functions as producer and editor; creates and develops multimedia content;
  • Maintains oversight across all production components for daily content creation;
  • Writes Script, storyboard, allocates resources, sets deadlines and selects best forms of media for projects;
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content;
  • Collaborates and supports team of creatives, video production manager, video editor and publishers to concept ideas and ensure powerful digital thinking is included in client campaigns and new business proposals;
  • Plans video shoots and develops production schedules;
  • Responsible for ensuring that the production process is defined, documented and understood by all stakeholders;
  • Builds production calendar and other procedures and protocols as needed that support content production plans;
  • Manages multiple projects, while maintaining overall production schedule and communicating status to all stakeholders;
  • Produces videos for use on social media and other digital platforms;
  • Develops storyboards, rough and final cuts, with audio, graphics and effects;
  • Ability to execute on all aspects of video production;
  • Communicates status updates with clients;
  • Procures video sponsorship activation and execution
  • Manages and executes projected cost budget to fulfill the promised expectation;
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the various brands that Babcox Media offers;

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess 10+ years of automotive marketing experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, multimedia, photography, communications or similar is required;
  • Possesses leadership and management experience, including hiring, training, coaching and leading;
  • Strong editorial perspective with a focus on supporting sales initiatives;
  • Ability to facilitate and execute customer’s vision;
  • Ability to assist with the organization and collection of ‘assets’ to produce what was promised;
  • Ability to apply technical and creative skills to various digital executions;

  • Knowledge of studio equipment including lighting and audio;

Video Editor

The video editor is responsible for assisting with video production, shoot planning, execution and formatting as well as the distribution of video content for our company. This is a full-time non-exempt position.

Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive) include:

  • Assist with production of in-house video features, including:
    • Custom video direction
    • Video editorial/content planning
    • Misc. video production responsibilities as assigned
  • Setup and teardown of cameras, microphones and props;
  • Aiding in the direction of talent;
  • Organization and cleanup of equipment and studio space;
  • Editing captured audio and video into online features;
  • Acquisition of photos, videos and other images for features;
  • Export and distribution of final video files
  • Assists with SEO and Social Media program for various publications;
  • Performs other duties as requested;

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in media/film production or similar;
  • At a minimum, 3 – 4 years of experience in video post-production;
  • Strong technical experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere Pro and Photoshop are required. Experience with After Effects and Illustrator is preferred;
  • Demonstrable video editing ability, with attention to detail, timing, pacing and composition;
  • Audio production experience preferred;
  • Trade/industry writing experience preferred;
  • Experience with video distribution services (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), specifically the administration of accounts on such services;
  • Experience with social media websites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), specifically the administration of pages and accounts on such services;
  • WordPress experience a plus;
