Bill Babcox, a third-generation president of the company, has been with Babcox Media since 1985. He held a variety of sales and management positions before being named president. Prior to joining the company, Bill worked for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in its retail stores division. Bill is a 1984 graduate of Denison University.

 


Greg-CiraGreg Cira, VP, Chief Financial Officer, Publisher

Greg Cira has served as CFO of Babcox since 1992 and is responsible for all corporate operational needs including financial reporting, human resource issues, and legal matters. He is also publisher of Motorcycle & Powersports News magazine. Prior to joining Babcox, Greg spent eight years with Ernst & Young. Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Bowling Green State University and is also a CPA.


Jeff-StankardJeff Stankard, VP and Group Publisher

Jeff Stankard has been with Babcox since June 1999 and is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the print, digital and video products Babcox brings to the markets it serves. Prior to joining Babcox, Jeff spent 15 years with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Akron.


Sean-DonohueSean Donohue, Associate Publisher

Sean Donohue has been with Babcox Media since early 2008 and currently serves as Associate Publisher of TechShop, Motorcycle and Powersports News and their digital entities. Prior to joining Babcox, Sean worked for the Akron Beacon Journal, formerly a Knight Ridder Publication, in a variety of marketing and advertising roles. Sean has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Visual Communication and Design from Kent State University.


Doug-KaufmanDoug Kaufman, Associate Publisher
Doug Kaufman has been with Babcox Media since 1987 serving in a variety of editorial and publishing roles and titles. He has experience with BodyShop Business, Tire Review and Brake and Front End, and is currently Associate Publisher and Editor of Engine Builder. He also has been editorial liaison between Babcox and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) for the past 12 years. Doug has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling Green State University and remains a committed MAC enthusiast.


Jim-MerleJim Merle, Group Publisher

Jim Merle has been with Babcox Media since 1993 and currently serves as publisher of the TechGroup responsible for Brake&Front End, ImportCar and Underhood Service magazines including the AutoCarePro e-newsletter and website. Prior to joining Babcox, Jim worked for the Akron Beacon Journal, formerly a Knight-Ridder publication. Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing/Advertising from the University of Akron.


Brad-MitchellBrad Mitchell, Director of eMedia & Audience Development

Brad Mitchell has been with Babcox since 1996 and is responsible for overall circulation marketing strategy, database development, and information technology initiatives for all company properties. Prior to joining Babcox, Brad worked in circulation and marketing for several publishing companies including Meister Publishing and Small Business News. Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.


Scott-ShriberScott Shriber, Group Publisher

Scott Shriber is a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry. His 27 years with Ford Motor Co. (Dearborn, Mich.) included senior management work in the areas of customer service, field technical training, dealer profitability, fixed operations and warranty, as well as national marketing and sales experience. He has a deep understanding of both direct and indirect parts sales channels, as well as distribution through the aftermarket. During two joint venture start-ups, he gained extensive collision, IT and medium-duty truck experience. Scott joined Babcox in 2008 as publisher of BodyShop Business. In 2010, Scott was also named publisher of Counterman magazine and the aftermarketNews e-newsletter. He remains a devoted car enthusiast and continual student of the automotive industry. A 1979 graduate of Hillsdale College, Scott resides in Akron, Ohio, with his wife, Suzanne, and their three children.
