Dean Martin joined Babcox in 1996 as associate group publisher for the company’s automotive service publications and a regional sales manager covering territories in the southeast and south central U.S. Martin was named publisher of Fleet Equipment in 2013 and Tomorrow’s Tech in 2014. In 2018, when the Tomorrow’s Tech brand was folded into the Babcox Media Tech Group properties, Martin took responsibility for the publishing duties of Tire Review and Fleet Service Technology. Prior to joining Babcox, Dean served as publisher of trade publications in the mining and construction industries. Dean is a 1981 graduate of The Ohio State University.

Patti (Renner) Hoying returns to Babcox Media as editor of Tire Review. Since leaving Babcox in 1997 (former editor of Underhood Service), she owned and operated a chain of specialty retail shops, worked with small businesses on their online marketing approach, and served as VP of Marketing for North America for a global marketing technology company. A graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Journalism – Public Relations and native of Akron, Ohio, Patti is the third generation of her family to work in the tire industry – both parents, her brother and three grandparents were longtime Goodyear, General and BFGoodrich employees, so the tire industry is in her blood.

Michael is a graduate of Seton Hill University, earning his MFA in Writing Popular Fiction and BA in English and Creative Writing. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, where he worked as a Cryptologic Technician/Intelligence Analyst. Most recently, Michael has worked as a writer for GI Jobs Magazine, developing, writing and revising up to six informative articles per month relating to veterans’ career and lifestyle issues. He is also co-owner and partner of Broken Crayon Creative, where he writes and edits fiction, nonfiction, technical and marketing documents.

Madeleine joined Babcox Media in 2017 as senior editor of Tire Review magazine. She previously covered Southern Indiana communities and was a web writer for Louisville’s Courier Journal. An Akron, Ohio native, she graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and speaks Spanish fluently.

As senior contributing editor of Tire Review magazine, Denise writes the magazine’s Marketing Matters column, focused on uncovering fresh, new marketing ideas for tire dealers, as well as helping readers get more out of their existing marketing promotion efforts. She also contributes various cover features and special assignments. Prior to joining Tire Review in 2007, the University of Akron graduate served as feature section writer and news reporter for the Medina Gazette and was a reporter for the Barberton Herald, both located in the Akron area.
RJ Pooch joined Babcox Media in 2016 as Art Director of Tire Review and Engine Builder magazines. RJ graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design and has worked in B2B and Consumer publishing ever since.
