November Miles Traveled Shortfall Widens

Vehicle miles traveled in the U.S. was down 11.1% in November 2020, compared to November 2019. This is a bit of a softening, for in September and October the 2020 figures were down by a little more than 8.5% compared to the previous year.

It could be that the renewed warnings to avoid large Thanksgiving gatherings may have had some effect. This data comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Highway Policy Information.
